Choosing a dentist or a doctor is about trust. Patients want to know who will treat them, what will happen and how to get an appointment. A website for a medical practice has to be clear, calm and accurate.
The people behind the practice
Show the doctors and staff with real photos, names, qualifications and what each one specialises in. Patients are far more comfortable booking with a person they have already "met" on the website.
Treatments, explained simply
Give each main treatment its own page: what it is, who it is for, what happens during the visit, how long it takes, aftercare and a price or price range. Write in plain language and avoid scaring or overselling. Clear information reduces anxiety and the number of basic questions on the phone. Google's guide to helpful content asks whether a page shows real expertise and first-hand experience [1].
Easy appointments
Make booking the main action: a phone number at the top, a short appointment request form and, if it suits your practice, online booking. Say clearly how quickly you answer requests. See online bookings: when are they worth it?
Practical information
- address, map, parking and accessibility of the building
- opening hours and what to do in an emergency
- what to bring to the first visit
- payment options and whether you work with health insurance
Trust and accuracy
Medical information must be correct and current. Show real reviews, any professional memberships and the practice's legal details. Make sure contact forms handle personal data properly, in line with GDPR, and that the site has a security certificate: what is an SSL certificate. Google's guidelines for its search quality raters hold health information to especially high standards, because mistakes can affect people's wellbeing [2].
We built the website for Lineyka Tara, a private ambulance service in Plovdiv, where the same principles applied: a real team, clear services, a phone number always in reach and plain answers to common questions.
A medical website works when patients trust the people, understand the treatment and can book without effort.
Found by local patients
Most patients search for a dentist or doctor near them. A complete Google Business Profile and pages for your main treatments matter a lot: how to set up your Google Business Profile and SEO for a business website: where to start. Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence [3].
